The 1st question a purchaser would ask us would be the same. NO dealer ship is going to pay for new batteries. The seller or the purchaser is going to foot the bill for this be it by reduced trade in value or reducing the price of the car with the understanding that the purchaser will be replacing. I know that used hybrids have a good resale value right now do to the gas prices. I have seen used 2008 Ford Escape hybrids with very low miles go for more than the cost of new 08's at the Ford factory sales. No hybrids were on the top 10 lists for resale values from edmunds.com or kbb.com. Things might be better now with the high gasoline price.
