What are some not well known electric/hybrid cars available for sale in the US?
Mico de San Delas III asked:
I keep seeing all these stories with various models of hybrids and electric cars. Of course we all know about cars like the Prius, but where are all the other cars at? The ones we see and say ‘oh cool’ but we never see for sale?

I think the hybrids are pretty well known because there aren’t a whole lot of them just yet. With respect to fully electric vehicles, again there aren’t many, but that will change in the very near future. See the link below for a wiki article I wrote on the subject.

The Honda Civic Hybrid deserves a lot more attention than it gets. The Camry hybrid may be the most cost-effective hybrid on the market. (The premium cost for the hybrid system is minimal.) The upcoming Honda CRZ may be a neat coupe. The Phoenix may be available soon. The one car I am waiting for is the Venture One. Go to flytheroad.com

The Lexus LS 600h L is a real beaut, but is priced over $100,000. I wouldn’t go Japanese though, just admired that one car!

There’s the Phoenix SUT, or ZENN. But the Tesla roadster is the one to drool over. (Think Lotus meets lithium ion).
Governor Schwarzenegger recently announced the Tesla White Star will be built in California. I haven’t seen a prototype yet, but it seems like they may be finally moving on it.

you actually dont need to go as far as to use electric. it is now possible to make a car that runs on water seriously here go to this link its a guide on how to change your car from gas to a water fueled car, step by step so that even the general public can achieve this. it will cost its says from 60 to 150 dollars.
