A hybrid car has an internal combustion engine like the one you would find in most gas-powered cars, except it is smaller and uses advanced technology to reduce pollution. Hybrid cars also have a very advanced electric motor; it can act as a motor and as a generator, drawing energy from batteries to accelerate the car then slowing the car down and returning energy to the batteries. Every car company that sells them has an extensive amount of information about them on the companies website. So, if you use less gas, then you help slow down Florida disappearing. (lol) also, since there is a limited amount of oil and petroleum in the earth, we are running out and gas prices go up. So, if you use a hybrid car, then you are helping save the environment and saving money. (i know you said except globalwarming/high gas prices but that is the only reason I can think of that hybrid cars are useful) I hope that helped! (you can use what I said in your speech) p.s.
