Why do people talk about hybrid cars like they are our salvation?

    We own a hybrid. It gets great mileage, but I doubt anyone will challenge us to a drag race.

    Batteries can be recycled.

    Hiya,

    Its because we need to transition off of fossil fuel before they run out.
